Preview – eSuperligaen round 7 and 8

After some difficult weeks in the eSuperliga, the boys are back in the studio on Tuesday and Wednesday to get the first victory of the season. Hobro and Randers awaits and there are opportunities for points in both matches, as this should be some very even matchups.

AGF – Hobro IK, B-stream at Dplay at 9:45 PM on Tuesday.

Hobro IK is another Superliga-team that has founded their own eSport department.

In the summer of 2018, they acquired HSE Vikings with more than 100 members. The FIFA team for the eSuperliga consists of Daniel Kølbæk, Mathias Bech Andersen, Joakim Lynge and coach René Bryner.

Last season, the jutlanders finished 13th, but this year they have ambitions to reach the top eight. Right now they are 11th in the league after winning two games and losing four.

The team got a fine start with two big 9-2 wins against Silkeborg and OB, while they’ve also been defeated by Randers, Vendsyssel, Brøndby and Esbjerg.

On paper this is a pretty even matchup, and last season we played a thrilling encounter against them, when we won 9-5 back in December.

From our perspective, we’ve had an unfortunate start to Season 2, as away-goals and missed chances have become crucial to our results. FC København were too big a bump to overcome, and then we had the dramatic default loss versus Horsens where PrimeTurbo couldn’t make it to the match after his car broke down on the way to Copenhagen. Therefore we stand with only one point after six matches, although all showdowns have been incredibly close.

Let’s hope the boys will take the three points and get back on track.

AGF – Randers FC, A-stream at Dplay at 7:30 PM on Wednesday.

The rivalry has always been fierce between AGF and Randers. It’s big brother vs. little brother. Ceres against Cepheus. The big against the smaller. And then it’s Lars Korreborg, Frederik Rom, Lucas Krøll and Tamer Taser against the former world champion, Mohamad Al-Bacha, Hassan Al-Saraf, Nicolai Søndergaard and Asger Aagaard.

It’s always some intense showdowns when AGF meets Randers no matter if it’s on the football pitch or in FIFA and this time both crews need the points to stay in the battle for top eight.

Our opponent finished 5th last season and this year they’ve played very well and are top of the league after six rounds. Actually Silkeborg who are bottom of the league is the only team that has taken points from the blue horses this season.

Last season we opened against Al-Bacha and co. and this became a heat battle between the teams, that got a lot of attention afterwards, because the players celebrated and mocked each other when they scored. The match finished 5-6 in our favour back then.

Let’s hope the players can take the three points in this important derby.
