Frederik Rom evaluates the start of the eSuperliga

We played some good games against OB and Brøndby but it wasn’t enough to secure a victory. Now Frederik Rom evaluates the start of the season 2 of eSuperligaen.

Frederik Rom made his debut in the eSuperliga against Dingo when Brøndby was the opponent in Wednesday’s group game. He won his match 1-0, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to win overall.

The day before, we were also defeated on away-goals  when Tamer Taser and Lucas Krøll played 3-3 against OB.

A tough start for our young crew, but Rom and co. are ready to make everything better next week:

– I think we played well in both matches and showed that we can compete with the best. When it’s the first time you play in such a huge setup, there are of course some nerves, and you could feel that at first, but I think we showed that we can handle the pressure. Unfortunately, we didn’t get points in the first week of the eSuperliga, but I’m sure they will come, Frederik Rom says.

He signed for AGF Esport before this season and now he got his eSuperliga debut, which the FIFA talent is very happy about:

– It was an incredible thing for me to get my debut in the eSuperliga – and to do it in the white shirts for AGF. I were very excited before the match, but I hit the focus and level I hoped I could reach and won my match. Unfortunately, this was not enough for points this time, he says.

Next week FC Midtjylland and Vendsyssel FF are waiting. Two games that Rom looks forward to with the hope of even better games from the AGF players:

– I think our opportunities are quite good. When we’re off from the first week with 0 points there is of course some pressure, but if we continue to play as good as we did this week, I’m sure we’ll get the points, 16-year-old Rom says.

We meet FC Midtjylland at 9 PM on Tuesday. The match can be streamed on Dplay >>>
