Esuperliga: Unlucky defeat in the semis
The semis became the end station for AGF on a dramatic night at Forum.
It was a night of drama, when the play-off finales took place in Forum, Copenhagen. AGF was full of confidence, as they were going into the finals from the regular season’s top spot. FCM was the opponent in the quarter finals as they ended eight in the regular season. All went as planned and AGF won 7-3 Niklas won 3-1 in his first match, and FIFAÜstun sealed the game with his 4-2 victory.
On to the semis. Here, Brøndby IF waited, as they had defeated Lyngby in the quarters. Niklas was matched up with Dingo in the first match, who had the home advantage. NIklas had the lead, but settled with 2-2, which gave AGF two away goals to the last match. Here, FIFAÜstun played against Fredberg. FIFAÜstun had lead three times but conceded at the very last second of the game, which gave the advantage to Brøndby on away goals. An unlucky ending to a fantastic run in the Esuperliga.
Brøndby ended up as champions, as they defeated Vejle, who surprisingly had won against FCK in the other semi-final, in the final.
