AGF Esport is ready for another season in the eSuperliga

Dreamhack, Discovery Networks Denmark and the Divisional Association presents another season of the eSuperliga on Tuesday, February 26, and AGF Esport will play for gold and glory once again.

We were a few seconds from a spot in the final in last season’s eSuperliga, but a late goal by Brøndby’s Frederik Fredberg ended the dream of becoming champions for a while. Now the tournament starts again, and AGF Esport is ready to fight for the prize pool for a total of DKK 365,000.

– I look forward to see all the boys in action, and to get started myself. It will be exciting with all the new faces. I also look forward to represent Denmark’s best club in the white shirts again, says playing coach, Lars ‘Primeturbo’ Korreborg.

There have been some changes in our squad, which in season two consists of Tamer Taser, Frederik Rom and Lukas Krøll. A squad that the coach is looking forward to work with and develop over the next months.

– I trust the boys, and I am sure we will achieve our goals. However, it will be a difficult challenge and we really need to show what we are made of. We are well covered on our team depth, and we have a squad where we can really push each other to the max, he says.

The team’s goal will initially be to qualify for the playoffs, which means that a top eight position in the group game is required. However, with the experience from last season in the backpack, “Primeturbo” is hopeful in terms of meeting expectations.

– We learned a lot of from the first season of the eSuperliga, which will be incredibly important for creating stability for the new boys this year. We know the opponents and how they play, so it will be easier to prepare. Most teams have, however, upgraded before the new season, so there will be a tough battle for every single point, says our playing coach.

The match program for season 2 of the eSuperliga has been published, and the first match will be against OB, while Brøndby awaits afterwards. It all leads to the big final evening on April 20, when a new eSuperligamester is found.
